Gone are the days when customers played a role only in product development. From being meek members of group discussions for validation, they are now remotely managing a company's business from wherever they are!

Its time companies woke up to this reality and added a chief customer officer to their hierarchy - a role to closely monitor what customers are saying and quickly respond to them.
